For Equarea, fabrics are important and so is the way they are assembled. Textiles are assembled according to very exacting specifications. For example, seams are flat seams, to reduce chafing.

For highly technical products, the garment is assembled using heat-sealing or thermo-fusing, and in some cases the garment is made using a seamless knit, which reduces the risk of chafing.
Mesh materials are specifically ventilated, and placed on the zones where the body perspires the most, using mapping produced by the Decathlon Research & Development centre.
